Chapters are community-based branches of the Dream Corps family. Through activities, such as fundraising events and recruitment information sessions, they bring Dream Corps to the local communities and allow much wider participation in its initiatives. Dream Corps currently has 7 university chapters and 1 professional chapter.

We are actively seeking young leaders to establish new chapters and enrich our community. Whether you are a Dream Corps volunteer or a natural leader who shares our vision, you can become the first to bring Dream Corps into your local community. If you can imagine yourself as the next Dream Corps Chapter founder (or co-founder), please read Chapter Guidelines and Chapter Proposal and contact us at this email address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it.

    McGill University Chapter

The McGill University Chapter had its foundational meeting in May 2008. Now in its second year, the chapter is a big family of executives, summer program alumni and active volunteers. We work to reunite people around the cause of education equity in China, organizing campus events that inform and enthrall. Some of our most memorable activities include a benefit concert where pasta was served, and field trips to the magical lanterns, or to the harvesting orchards. If you are in the Montreal region, do give us a call. We would love to discuss Dream Corps with you, over a dinner of dumplings, homemade to feed all.

    Toronto Professional Chapter

Toronto Professional Chapter was founded in September, 2008 by a group of Dream Corps alumni and enthusiastic young professionals in Toronto area. We organize public education and fundraising events to raise awareness of education inequality in China. We hope to attract more talented young professionals in the future, and establish partnerships with local NGOs, media, and corporate sponsors.

    University of North Carolina Chapter

Since its establishment in February 2009, the University of North Carolina Chapter has been raising awareness of education inequalities faced by underprivileged children in the university community. The Chapter regularly organizes fundraisers to financially support the libraries that Dream Corps has built in China. Among these fundraisers are the Chinese calligraphy sale, and cookie sales in the local hospital.

    University of Toronto Chapter

Building on a strong tradtion of volunteering with Dream Corps that dates back to 2005, University of Toronto Chapter was officially launched in spring 2007. Our goal is to mobilize the greater university community to channel local financial and human resources to the Dream Corps library projects in China. Since 2005, around 30 students and alumni have volunteered with Dream Corps, and many of them are active members in the chapter today. The rest of the chapter members are talented local Dream Corps enthusiasts. Our campus fundraising activities include benefit concerts, photo exhibits and auctions.

    University of Virginia Chapter

University of Virginia Chapter is an official university student organization registered in the fall of 2006. The team now has over 20 members. We promote awareness of the importance of education equity for children in China. In addition we help fundraising and recruit qualified volunteers for Dream Corps summer volunteer program. The chapter team works closely with several local student groups, including Jefferson Scholar's society, and numerous academic departments to build partnerships and host events. Activities include documentary screening, mini-conference speaking series related to China's development, Chinese New Year charity dinner, photo exhibition, and fundraising events such as Bubble Tea sale, silent donation and donation booth.
